Invitation letter to
An open class of Ki-Aikido, Hanoi, 17-18 March, 2012
Aikido, a Japanese martial art, was founded in the early of the 20th century by the great master Ueshiba Morihei (1883 – 1969). Now, Aikido is practiced all over the world, in many different ways. Aikido is very popular in Vietnam, and the name is familiar to those interested in martial arts and Japanese culture.
Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido (Ki-Aikido) was founded by master Koichi Tohei (1920 – 2011), who was given the rank of 10th dan by Ueshiba Morihei himself. Koichi Tohei believed that for a harmonious life, mind and body should be integrated, and based on this he formulated the principles of Ki. Aikido is not just a defensive martial art, allowing you to throw people around. More importantly Aikido is a way to improve the quality of your everyday life.
Facilitated by the Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido Hanoi, the Okayama Ki-Aikido dojo, led by Tsuzuki Seiji (6th dan), has a pleasure to hold a 2-days class on the 17th and 18th, March, 2012, which is open for everybody. We would like to invite everybody who interested in martial arts, Aikido or Japanese cultures.
Tsuzuki Seiji Sensei was born in 1960 in
Eihime, Shikoku. He practiced under Koichi
Tohei Sensei and became his uchideshi (a
student who lives at the dojo). He studied and taught Aikido at Honbu
(the headquarters of the Ki-Aikido Organization) for many years. In
